A wife, mother, fitness professional and a recovered obsessor of diet and exercise. For most of my adult life I have tried to gain control and change how I look by using diet and exercise. I have fought many years of a lonely, mental battle. I spent years caught in the cycle of depriving and bingeing. I was so exhausted mentally of all the constant thinking of food. When can I eat? What will I eat? Will there be enough to eat? All this coupled with the fact I was trying to exercise my way into losing a certain amount of weight or changing how I looked, I was FINALLY fed up with how I was living. I began working through solutions to trust myself, gain confidence and finally be free from the mental drain I lived with for over 15 years. My faith in Jesus has sustained me through this journey, and I have come out on the other side stronger, more confident and I have so much more mental energy and time to devote to what is really important in my life. In today's episode, I'll share 4 tips to help you navigate the noise and find a plan that works for you.
1. Decide on your goal.
a. Healthy & Fit: 12-20 reps, 1-3 sets
b. Toning, building, hypertrophy: 8-12 reps, 3-5 sets
c. Getting Strong: 3-6 reps, 3-6 sets.
2. Choose basic exercises.
a. Upper body (push up, shoulder press, bent over row)
b. Lower body (Squat, deadlift, lunges)
c. Core (plank, sit-up)
3. What fits into your schedule:
a. 2 days per week (1 upper body, 1 lower body OR full body both days)
b. 3 days per week (full body each day, or alternating upper and lower)
c. 4 days per week (Mon/Thur lower body, Tue/Fri upper body)
4. Form & Accountability
a. Get a trainer if you need help with form
b. Find a friend or spouse to keep you accountable.

Do these 2 days per week, 4 weeks.
Week 1: 10 reps of each exercise, 2 rounds, :20 sec plank hold
Week 2: 10 reps of each exercise,3 rounds :25 sec plank hold
Week 3: 12 reps of each exercise, 3 rounds, :30 sec plank hold
Week 4: 10 reps of each exercise, 5 rounds, :35 sec plank hold
